Pro Sports Daily:
You had the feeling if the Lions could only get out of their own way, they would have a good chance to beat the Cowboys Sunday.
After all, for three quarters the defense had held Tony Romo and the Dallas offense in relative check. Calvin Johnson was in full Megatron mode, achieving an NFL-record tying fifth career 200-yard receiving day (329 yards). And the Cowboys were playing without four starters -- DeMarcus Ware, DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin and J.J. Wilcox.
It took them until the final seconds, but they did it. Trailing 30-24 with 62 seconds left and no timeouts, quarterback Matthew Stafford drove the Lions 80 yards, running in the game-winner from the 1.
He hit Calvin Johnson for 17 yards, Kris Durham for 40 yards and then Johnson again, splitting two defenders, for 22 yards to put it at the 1.
With 12 seconds left, Stafford leaped and stuck the ball over the goal line. When David Akers booted the point after, the Lions celebrated a thrilling, improbable 31-30 win.

Matthew Stafford's first 'wired for sound' was his gutsy last second game winning touchdown pass against the Cleveland Browns during his rookie season. 'The kind of thing that endears you to a city,' said Dan Miller, as Stafford went under center with a dislocated left shoulder.
Miller's quote is one you should never forget, but just in case you did, Stafford...

Detroit QB Matthew Stafford blew up for a career-high 488 yards Sunday in a 31-30 win over Dallas.Fantasy Spin:He ran for the game-winning score on a brilliant fake with 12 seconds remaining. Stafford is now on pace to throw for 5,234 yards, which would be the third-highest single-season total in NFL history.
ESPN “analyst” Cris Carter is known for his ridiculous hyperbole. However, his comments on Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson this morning actually were rather prescient. He pretty much predicted the huge breakout game to be had this afternoon. Calvin Johnson, or Megatron as the kids call him is great at football. But when you read Carter’s comments on Megatron you may ask yourself...

“You recording me? F*ck off.”
