What does someone like Nick Fairley do for an encore? One would think after everything he has gone through to get where he is today, he would just enjoy getting over, getting past, and getting paid. Not Nick Fairley, that would of been to easy of just made to much sense.
Nick Fairley got out of college before the NCAA cracked down on his cheap shots. The NCAA was looking at suspending Fairley for going helmet first and using it as a weapon. Something that is flagged and fined in the NFL.
With all the uncertainties, the Detriot Lions took a chance on Fairley. Kind of ironic, Fairley ending up on the team that was labeled as the dirtiest team in the NFL. We had to watch players get fines and suspened and watch a coach act like a little five year old girl that had her dolly taken away. None the less, he made it.
Then before the season he gets injured. Fairley was out the first six weeks. After he returned after the injury, he didn’t look back the rest of the season.
He didn’t live up to the hype or even up to what his mouth was running about. Only had 15 tackles and 1 sack in those 10 games. I would expect a lot more on and off the field from someone that is getting paid almost $4 million a year.
Then the off season rolls in. On Tuesday Nick Fairley found himself in jail.
Fairley, 24, was released from jail later this afternoon on $1,000 bail. Mobile police spokeswoman Ashley Rains said that citizens in the Morningside Manor neighborhood of Mobile, a subdivision west of Navco Road, called police complaining about a sport utility vehicle speeding through the neighborhood several times about noon.
Police spotted the Cadillac Escalade, which was being driven by Fairley, about 12:30 p.m., and marijuana was found in the football player’s possession, Rains said.
Eric Thomas Taylor Jr., 23, a passenger in Fairley’s car, was also arrested and charged with 2nd-degree marijuana possession, she said. Taylor was also released late this afternoon on $1,000 bail.
First of all, I don’t understand why people are so ignorant. Why is someone riding in the hood, in an Escalade, with marijuana smoke coming from the vehicle? Better yet, Fairley makes millions, why in the hell is he even smoking anything? Finally, why am I not even surprised it was a Detriot Lion once again trying to be a bad boy. News flash, the whole ba
