We're the clear cut favorite in our division, but we know there's still work to be done. Sure, we shouldn't have any major trouble in securing the NFC West title and the playoff birth that comes with it, but our sights are on the grand prize. To get to the Super Bowl, we'll need our defense to continue its dominance, and we'll need Alex Smith to continue to develop as a starting quarterback. He was a very efficient game manager last season, even making clutch plays at times, but now we need him to become a strong leader and passer. If he can do that, we could find ourselves in prime position for a Super Bowl birth.
Kevin Kolb or John Skelton? That's our big question. We're hoping one of those guys becomes the clear leader at some point in the preseason, because at this point, it's a draw.
