Free Agency is anything but free. The Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren and GM Tom Heckert, have said they will be more active in free agency but yet outside of Rucker and Parker no moves?…After watching top talent go find other homes in the league. Cleveland fans are left still wondering when we will make our big move. I hate to say it but we probably won’t be making a huge splash or even a big one at that. I do think more FA moves are yet to come. This was only the first wave of free agents the next wave will come after the 2012 draft. I think they will follow there plan to build through the draft. This means they will make most free agent moves in the second wave. In the second wave you may then claim the rookies that are UN-drafted. If the browns wait for the second wave they might be missing out on big names but they will have the money for many mediocre to small name players. If some how a big name falls through the draft I’m sure they would make a move to get him. Big ...

Rams GM: Browns’ offer for RG3 not “every bit the offer that was chosen,” Browns front office not good at following instructions

Rams GM Les Snead thought it was important to correct the record after Mike Holmgren’s conference call with Browns season ticket holders last week where Holmgren stated that the Browns offer to the Rams for the draft pick that would have allowed them to select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was “every bit the offer that was chosen.” Holmgren also said that St. Louis...

The Browns in free agency, asleep in Cleveland?

When Cleveland Browns GM Tom Heckert stated that fans and media should not expect the Browns to "go crazy" in free agency it was understandable that they would not make a "big splash", however it would be nice if they would at least get their feet wet! Sticking to the theory of building through the draft, the most chosen and effective method of building a long...

Cleveland Browns Linebacker should avoid bounty penalty

Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita should avoid suspension in the New Orleans Saints bounty investigation because he has been honest...at least in public. One of the reasons that Sean Payton and other members of the Saints coaching staff got hammered by Roger Goodell was the cover up and not the crime. In recent public interviews Scott Fujita has said he paid other players...

The Cleveland Browns, “Roadblocks”, and Colt McCoy

Each year the debate starts over. Each year the Cleveland Browns fan-base calls for change at quarterback. And the 2012 NFL offseason is no different. We should have seen it coming back in 1993 when Bernie Kosar was replaced by Vinny Testaverde. We should have known something horrible was about to happen. We all just assumed it was the loss of our franchise to Baltimore. But in reality...

The Cleveland Browns free agency failures.

There has been a great deal of outrage, and disappointment cast in the direction of the Cleveland Browns front office by fans. The reason for this consternation amongst the Browns faithful is due to the lack of activity by the club in the free agent market. But fans seem to have a short memory. Perhaps there is something in the water in Cleveland that causes its fans to have a case...
