The Landry Hat:
In this week’s addition of Who
Should Stay/Who Should Go, I will be discussing whether or not the Cowboys
should re-sign Free Agent Wide Receiver Laurent Robinson. Laurent Robinson
signed a 1 year deal with the Cowboys after having played the past 2 season
with the Rams. Like many of you I didn’t even know who Robinson was when he
signed and to be honest when I heard he had been signed I really didn’t care.
However when Miles Austin went down this season with his hamstring injury
Robinson emerged as a great back up receiver and at times he was arguably the
best wide receiver on the football field.
Robinson’s previous 4 seasons were
spent in Atlanta and St Louis where he had a total of 4 touchdowns and his
highest receiving total at the end of a season was 437 yards in his first
season with the Falcons. Robinson’s number with the Cowboys is stunning when
you look at his previous season; he had 11 touchdowns and 858 yards receiving.
What is his most impressive and probably most import...

Dallas Cowboys Naming Bill Callahan Offensive Coordinator Means Nothing
The Dallas Cowboys made a meaningless move on Thursday by naming Bill Callahan offensive coordinator. Anyone with any knowledge of the team knows that’s a bunch of baloney. Callahan was hired as the Cowboys’ new offensive line coach and this latest “title” is pointless because he won’t call the offensive plays for Dallas; that duty still belongs to Jason Garrett...

WR Laurent Robinson Wants To Return To The Cowboys
Laurent Robinson, who led the Cowboys in touchdown catches this year after being signed off the street, said he would like to come back and doesnt care if hes the No. 1, 2 or 3 receiver. I think I fit in good here, you know, getting along good with the guys, he said Friday in a radio interview on KESN 103.3-FM ESPN according to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram...
A Questioning of Leadership
“I’m stumped. I am stumped … other than calling some plays with the Dallas Cowboys I don’t know what his credentials are for an offensive coordinator. This goes back … Sparano’s relationship with [Jets GM Mike] Tannenbaum goes back to the [Bill] Parcells days, too. This is the football fraternity, the coaching fraternity, the general mangers with their friends...
Wide Open
As feared, the depth of the Cowboys' wide receiving corps was indeed challenged in 2011, but a late addition rose to the occasion. Will Laurent Robinson return, or will the team face similar questions?
