Sorry Vikings fans, but the time has come.  You’ve had the privilege of watching one of the best running backs in NFL history and now it’s time for you to send him packing. It’s all his fault only because he is so good. Adrian Peterson has done some amazing things since the Vikings drafted him in 2007 and now it’s time to part ways and here’s why.Since he has been in the NFL Peterson has accumulated 9,130 rushing yards and 79 rushing touchdowns along with 1,578 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns. At the age of 28 he doesn’t seem to be slowing down although history tells us that he is likely closer to a regression in his production than he is to a dramatic improvement. He has done this while going a collective 49-50 (including games this season). He has been a part of three winning seasons for the Vikings, having gone to the playoffs in each of those seasons. At times he has been surrounded with some great talent and at other times he has been the only talent worth watching o...

  • Lets hope that Adrian Peterson doesn't become the 'Kevin Garnett' of the Vikings and have to break his back for nothing only to be traded to another team and win it all which would be typical for Minnesota

Smith on Peterson having shot at rushing record

When Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was in Frisco for a youth football camp in July, the reigning NFL MVP said Emmitt Smith's rushing record is something he wants to accomplish. But Peterson took things a step further later in the month when he told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he would break the record in Week 16 of the 2017 season. Peterson, 28, currently...

Jerome Felton ready to boost Vikings' running game

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Jerome Felton was forced to watch the Minnesota Vikings" first three games of the season away from the team that gave him a three-year contract in the offseason while serving a three-game suspension. The Pro Bowl fullback watched the first two games by himself, but couldn"t stand to be alone for last week"s game, in which Minnesota went to 0...

WR Greg Jennings says QB Matt Cassel is 'more verbal, kind of commanding in the huddle'

Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Jennings has been a target for Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, so he knows a little about great leaders. A successful quarterback has to command the respect of his offense, making them believe he's going to get it done. Jennings says QB Matt Cassel has those qualities and that he's been with the team in the offseason and preseason, so there is...

5 Positives For the Vikings Heading Into Sunday’s Game Vs. Steelers

The Minnesota Vikings 2013 season is off to a worse start than anyone could have imagined.  So this week instead of looking for areas to improve we are just going to find some positives that the Vikings can take with them heading into this week’s game.  I came up with five, but it wasn’t easy finding them. 5. Playing in London I’m not a fan of games being played in London...

Are We Sure Vikings Aren't Most Doomed Team?

There are six teams in the NFL this year that have started 0-3 (Apparently only five that are "surprising"). Technically, they are all doomed to a horrible hell, but according to ESPN, some of these teams are MORE doomed than others. In a recent poll they did on their "interactive" show Sportsnation (that is as appealing to view as a Jackson Pollock poop painting...

Brian Hall's Sept. 26 Vikings mailbag

Well, I thought things had begun to turn for quarterback Christian Ponder, at least according to the feedback I was receiving on Twitter (@mnbrianhall). The outrage over Ponder's struggles continue and the fans' feelings were well known as he was booed each time he took the field last Sunday. But my Twitter followers had begun to turn their anger to the entire team and questioned...

Minnesota Vikings: 2013 Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (#30)

Last week: 28 (-2) The Jaguars might have “won” the Teddy Bridgewater bowl when they lost to the Raiders week 2, but the Vikings might have “won” the Tajh Boyd bowl by losing to the Browns last week. It’ll be interesting to see if they actually pull the trigger on a quarterback early in 2014. Head Coaches are usually very stubborn when it comes it giving up on quarterbacks...

Vikings Cheerleaders Only NFL Team Worth Watching In London This Weekend

Thank God for the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders, otherwise British fans would have zero incentive to watch Minnesota (0-3) take on Pittsburgh (0-3) at…

Bus Cook says Brett Favre could play in the NFL today

Brett Favre isn’t making a comeback and we won’t have to deal with the media circus or waffling decisions but if he wanted to play, he could play, according to Bus Cook. “Today, he could play today,” Cook said Monday night, via the Mobile Press-Register. “I saw him the other day. He’s in the best shape I’ve ever seen him in, physically.” It’s probably possible...

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady keeps in contact with his former back up Matt Cassel.  He told Albert Breer of the NFL Network that it looks like Cassel will start this week after Ponder suffered a rib injury this past Sunday. Tom Brady was talking about his backup quarterbacks, and said "Matt Cassel, who may be starting this weekend …" Ponder has a rib injury. — Albert...
