Da' Bears Blog:
As the Bears wait to name a General Manager (I continue to believe the frontrunner is now and always has Falcons’ Director of Player Personnel Les Snead) we all spend this weekend watching other clubs partake in the tournament. I’ll be pulling for the Saints to wipe out the Lions tonight for two reasons: (1)... Read more »

Mike Tice(on) New Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator
In one of the least shocking events of the day, Mike Tice was named Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. Last season, the Tennessee Titans were denied the opportunity to interview Tice for the same position.
I like this move. Tice has done an excellent job with the Chicago Bears offensive line. He’s more conservative of a play caller than former coordinator Mike Martz. Many...
Chicago Bears: Worst Run Organization In Professional Sports
Before the Green Bay Packers and Vince Lombardi, it was the Chicago Bears who were Kings of professional football. Long before the Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers and Packers were winning multiple Super Bowl's, the Chicago Bears were dominating football to the tune of eight NFL Championships pre-merger. Why then, with such a rich history, have the Chicago Bears only won one title since...

The Chicago Bears promoted Mike Tice to offensive coordinator on Friday to replace the departed Mike Martz.
Tice had been the team's offensive line coach for the past two seasons after spending four campaigns as an assistant in Jacksonville. He was also a former head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.
Martz resigned as offensive coordinator on Tuesday morning on the same day that...

Mike Tice?…Really Chicago?
What a douche pocket....wasn't he in charge when Culpepper took the team and some sluts on a boat ride?
Chicago Bears, come on….Mike Tice, really?
I was 16 years old, watching the Packers starting their rise to glory. Last game of the season, 1992, and watching the Packers’ defense get torched by a tight end I’ve never heard of….Mike Tice. Mike...
Lovie goes with Tice that binds
In classic fashion, Mike Tice highlighted one of his strengths with a self-deprecating shot. “I have been organized my whole life,” Tice said via e-mail, “because I am not smart. “Details are the key. We need to detail everything out. Have a play for every situation. And have a way to get out of all bad plays.” Those are welcome words from the Bears’ new offensive coordinator...
Ravens’ DeCosta removed from Bears’ GM list
Coming on the heels of reports that Green Bay Packers Director of Football Operations Reggie McKenzie was set to be announced as the new general manager of the Oakland Raiders, another name atop the Bears’ list of potential GMs has been scratched off.
Baltimore Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta will remain with the club.
Ravens’ Eric DeCosta will not interview for Bears’ GM vacancy
Baltimore Ravens player personnel director Eric DeCosta will remain with his team and will not take any interviews, including one that was requested by the Bears.
Two GM candidates gone, but Bears still have plenty to choose from
Two high-profile general-manager candidates are off the market, but a strong pool remains for vacancies with the Bears, Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams. The Oakland Raiders announced they had reached an agreement with Green Bay Packers pro personnel director Reggie McKenzie to become their GM.
