If you look at the drafts in Atlanta under the current regime you'll notice one thing. They have no qualms about trading up, down, or for players. If GM Thomas Dimitroff wants a player he'll make a trade to get that player; as we saw last year with Julio Jones and this year with Asante Samuel. Dimitroff won't give a second thought to trading away a future pick to help him achieve this either. So when you look at the prospects still available at the beginning of day three it's completely reasonable to expect Thomas Dimitroff to trade up into the 4th round to get his guy.

Will the Falcons make more moves in day three?

After selecting G/C Peter Konz, and OT Lamar Holmes with their first two picks on day two, Atlanta seems to have fortified their OL. However they still need a TE and a DT. At the start of day three, two potential impact players at both positions are still sitting on the board. I'm talking about Ladarius Green and Alameda Ta'amu. Green has great intangibles as a TE, but needs to add weight to his frame and get better at blocking, but he has has great hands and intangibles. He'd be a huge redzone threat for Matt Ryan, and has the potential to be a top tier TE in the NFL. Alameda Ta'amu was a NT many people were thinking would go in the early 2nd, but he's still on the board. At this point he would be an excellent value pick and would be a huge force in goal line and 3rd & short situations. Both players would be excellent additions to an already great draft class.

Thomas Dimitroff also traded down and acquired the Ravens fifth round pick yesterday. At this point Atlanta has two fifths, and a sixth to work with for a trade along with future picks.  With how cheap trades have been going lately Dimitroff could seemingly move into the middle of the fourth round for a fifth and a future pick and steal a prospect from under the noses of the collective NFL. We don't know for sure if TD will trade up, but one thing is for sure, he has the picks to do so.
