The Ravens have beaten Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning before. Unfortunately, the last time was 2001. Baltimore is very banged up and the Broncos are on a roll. So what’s the expectation? The expectation, in my mind, at least, is the Ravens don’t have a chance. Baltimore hasn’t lost consecutive home games since 2007, when Brian Billick was still coaching the team. For that reason, and the harmony between Joe Flacco and Jim Caldwell, the Ravens will win this Sunday. The Ravens will win something like 31-30.

Demaryius Thomas: Peyton Manning hype is bigger than Tim Tebow hype was

The only similarity between the 2011 Denver Broncos and this year’s squad is that both are playoff teams. After an 8-8 regular season last year, only the most dedicated of Tim Tebow fans actually believed Denver had a shot at making it to the Super Bowl. This season, the 11-3 Broncos have won nine straight and are heading for a first round bye. Unlike Tebow, Peyton Manning makes...

Peyton Manning says Ed Reed is “best safety in the NFL”

At one point when the Baltimore Ravens had to play against the Indianapolis Colts, the fans of Charm City were excited to have the opportunity to pound the team that left their proud city. However, the Colts had quarterback Peyton Manning and he has tormented Baltimore for the past few years. Over time, the thrill of going up against Manning was not very thrilling as he posted an...

Denver Broncos, an emerging powerhouse

Yesterday, I watched in awe as the Denver Broncos dismantled the Baltimore Ravens 34-17 in Baltimore. And the game wasn’t as close as the score would indicate. With their ninth straight victory, this one against one of the best AFC teams, the Broncos are becoming an NFL powerhouse. The Broncos dominated the first half building a 10-0 lead. It was only because of the exceptional...

Broncos bring Manning to Baltimore this time

(Eds: Adds background, quotes. With AP Photos.) By ARNIE STAPLETON AP Pro Football Writer The last time the Denver Broncos won a game in Baltimore, a baby-faced John Elway was making his second NFL start and producing his first career fourth-quarter comeback. That was way back in 1983, before the Colts left for Indianapolis. The Broncos are 0-5 in Baltimore since the Ravens entered...

Peyton Manning Vs. Adrian Peterson: Comeback Player of the Year

Everybody knows that the Comeback Player of the Year Award is going to come down to Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson. They are both coming off major surgeries, and were not expected to perform at an elite level in the 2012 season. I can tell you right now, they are performing at an elite level once again. Peyton Manning has the Denver Broncos rolling and on its way to another play...

The 10 Best Games of the 2012 NFL Season

It has been another interesting year for the National Football League. Old faces such as Peyton Manning have returned to action, while we also have plenty of new faces changing the outlook of the game.If you were to say that the talent level in this league has never been higher, then it would be hard to argue. There are a lot of great players in the game today, making for many great...

Broncos leap over sputtering Ravens

Peyton Manning enjoyed his 9th straight victory over the Baltimore Ravens, his first in a Broncos uniform, and winning their 11th victory of the season 34-17. He wasn't perfect, going 14/28 and just throwing for 204 yards with 1 TD, but the team as whole was able to manage whatever Baltimore threw at them. RB Knowshon Moreno came up big, rushing for 118 on 22 carries and...

Peterson: MVP is best player, not best QB

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Adrian Peterson's numbers speak for themselves: 1,600 rushing yards, 1,811 total yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns. The first two numbers lead the NFL, and he's tied for third in touchdowns. Peterson knows, in the eyes of some, not even those numbers are enough to sway MVP voters his way. He knows the usual considerations will come for the league...

Peyton Manning the new voice at DIA

Football fans traveling through Denver International Airport this holiday season will be greeted by a familiar voice. Peyton Manning will be the new voice in DIA's train cars beginning Friday and ending Jan. 2. "Welcome to the Mile High City," Manning Says. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, whose voice usually is heard greeting passengers, decided after the Broncos...

Indianapolis Colts could make push for division title with win at Houston

The Indianapolis Colts have exceeded even the wildest of expectations this season. The departure of Peyton Manning? A rookie quarterback and a young roster overall, working against a salary cap strapped with dead money? The Colts’ task was daunting entering the season. And then, three weeks in, the team’s new head coach, Chuck Pagano, was diagnosed with leukemia and would miss...

What Happened To The AFC?

It took three consecutive years of NFC supremacy in the Super Bowl, an MVP from Green Bay, and a season without Peyton Manning for it to happen, but in September 2012 football analysts across the country were ready to label the NFC as the dominant conference in the National Football League.  The pundits argued that the era of Brady vs. Manning had become the time of Rodgers vs....

AFC West Beat: Heavyweight Bout Will Feature Broncos and Ravens

There are a handful of great games this weekend with one of those games being the Denver Broncos playing on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. Along with the few good games are several games not worth watching and the AFC West will feature two of these as the San Diego Chargers will take on the Carolina Panthers and the Kansas City Chiefs match-up with the Oakland Raiders.
