After injuring his ankle against the San Diego Chargers two weeks ago, New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham has been struggling to get back to practice this week. It looked as though the team was hoping Graham would be able to come back this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
However, according to ProFootballTalk.com, the Saints will leave Graham in New Orleans to rest his ankle and he will be unavailable for Sunday’s game.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that the team has decided to let Graham rest his injured ankle. He will not be traveling with his teammates to Tampa for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.
Graham, who had 1,310 yards and 11 touchdowns last year is an important part of the Saints offense. If the team wants to try to climb back to a winning record, they will need Graham to hurry back soon.
