Over the weekend, Jaguars first-round pick Justin Blackmon was arrested for driving under the influence. The wide receiver’s hearing is scheduled for two days before Jacksonville opens camp. It’s highly unlikely he serves jail time, but he could face league penalties such as a 1-2 game suspension according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jacksonvilles offense will likely struggle as Quarterback Blaine Gabbert is still developing and getting used to new head coach Mike Mularkeys system. Blackmon also needs time to develop, the possibility of missing part of training camp and up to two games this season will not help.
