Colts owner Jim Irsay fueled a number of trade rumors over the weekend after he tweeted that they were in the process of working on a deal for a wide receiver. Since then, names like Victor Cruz, Larry Fitzgerald, Doug Baldwin and Davone Bess have been tossed out as speculative options. Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic tweets that there is “zero chance” of the Cardinals trading Fitzgerald at any point this offseason. Somers mentions that the Cardinals really like “love” having Fitzgerald and the fact that they would incur a $15 million cap hit by trading him further suggests that there’s no chance of this happening. Fitzgerald is under contract through the 2018 season. He has massive salaries coming his way throughout the remainder of this deal, so he could be a candidate to restructure his contract in the next few years.

“Zero chance” the Cardinals trade Larry FItzgerald

Many people have been wondering if the Arizona Cardinals are willing to trade wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, “zero chance” the Cardinals will trade Fitzgerald.  He says the Cards love Fitz and they don’t want to take a $15 million cap hit. It wouldn’t make any sense for the Cardinals to trade Fitzgerald away.  He’s one...

It is fiscally, and competitively, wise for the Arizona Cardinals to keep Larry Fitzgerald

Rather than absorbing a massive $15 million salary cap hit to move their standout wide receiver, the Arizona Cardinals have made it clear there is “zero chance” they will trade Larry Fitzgerald this offseason. Keeping the 29-year-old Fitzgerald, who Arizona took out of the University of Pittsburgh with the third pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, is a fiscally, and competitively, wise...

Crazy Colts Fan - Jim Irsay is a Fan's Kind of Owner; Follow Him on Twitter and You'll See

Crazy Colts Fan - Jim Irsay is a Fan's Kind of Owner; Follow Him on Twitter and You'll See Jim Irsay is something else. Like Jerry Jones in Dallas I think he wants nothing more than to win. Unlike Jerry he seems to be okay with letting a football-minded person run the show while he swoops in and money-whips the poor rascals into submission. His method may...

There's no real QB competition and other links

Spring Practice starts this week and the forced narrative is that everyone including Rettig is battling for his job. We don't know that much about Addazio yet, but I know he's not going to totally ruin this season based simply on systems. He can talk about Chase competing, but he and his staff are planning on Rettig being the No. 1 QB next season. He is also passing on assurances...
