Dan Connor’s a short-term solution to a long-term probelm
The New York Giants are having a bit of a revolving door at middle linebacker ever since Antonio Pierce was released in 2009, and Dan Connor could finally be the long-term solution as the Giants announced he’s expected to start in 2013. The former Dallas Cowboys linebacker showed a lot of promise in 2012 as a replacement for Bruce Carter, and we should take a look at what his potential...
Giants sign Dan Connor to a 1-year deal
According to ProFootballTalk.com, the New York Giants signed free agent linebacker Dan Connor to a one-year deal.
Connor is a solid linebacker that was recently release by the Cowboys. He recorded 57 tackles in 2012.
Right now I would expect Connor to compete with Mark Herzlich for the Giants’ starting middle linebacker spot.

Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor has signed with the New York Giants as a free agent.
The Giants announced the signing of the former Penn State product Saturday without disclosing details.
Connor can play both inside and outside, so his signing casts some doubt on whether New York will bring back middle linebacker Chase Blackburn, who is a free agent.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Dallas Cowboys have asked linebacker Dan Connor to take a pay cut. If he declines, he’ll end up being released.
Connor currently accounts for $4.3 million against the cap for the Cowboys. I’m sure they would love to get that cut down to around $1 million or less for next season.
