The Redskins have retained another one of their restricted free agents, signing fullback Darrel Young to a deal Saturday afternoon, a person with knowledge of the situation said.

In the last two weeks Darrel Young has gone from an unsung hero in the blocking game, to being a weapon and playmaker on offense. On the Redskins touchdown drive early in the second quarter, Young caught two passes for 33 yards. At the time, he was the team’s top receiver, and it was Young’s top receiving day, ever.

Darrel Young’s first rushing TD comes against childhood team
Redskins fullback Darrel Young scored the first rushing touchdown of his career in Sunday’s 23-10 victory over the New York Giants, a six-yard run that gave Washington a 17-0 lead in the second quarter.
