The one-time Carolina Panthers wideout looked as though he was on his way to having a bright future in 2010 when he caught 37 passes for 508 yards and three touchdowns. Since then, Gettis only played in two games in three seasons.
Via the team’s communications department, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that they have signed safety Mark Joyce waived wide receiver David Gettis with an injury.
Joyce (5-10, 190) is a college free agent from the University of South Florida.
