The Detroit Lions, like the rest of the NFL, have until 4 p.m. today to take their roster down to 75 player. Detroit promptly finished its first round of cuts yesterday afternoon.
No major surprises so far, just protocol along the road to reducing the roster to regular-season size. Here’s who Detroit has let go of so far:
Tavecchio attempting a FG in college
Lions placed S DeJon Gomes on reserve/PUP list.
DT Letroy Guion activation from PUP list is “imminent.” (Tom Pelissero)
QB Sam Bradford only tore his ACL and the other ligaments in his knee remain in tact. (Albert Breer)
LB James Laurinaitis is returning to practice after missing some time with an ankle injury. (Adam Schefter)
