They called it the three-headed monster.
Duce Staley, Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter. The three runners combined for over 1600 yards on the ground, 20 rushing touchdowns, and another seven receiving touchdowns.
Running back is one of the most important positions on the football field. Fortunately for the Eagles, they have a long line of good ones who played for the franchise.
Unlike the quarterback position, the Eagles have been relatively successful when drafting running backs. Since the late 1990s, their primary back has always been a guy they picked up on their own.
