The Houston Texans added their first player to show their hand on what they are looking for their new look defense in defensive tackle Jerrell Powe. We watched Powe in action from the 2012 and the 2013 season, and there is very little game time for the three-year veteran.

The Houston Chronicle has reported that the Houston Texans have come to terms with free agent defensive tackle Jerrell Powe. Not only that, but the Texans also met with Teddy Bridgewater, according to NFL.com
A sixth round pick out of Mississippi, Powe has played 11 games in two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he has eight tackles, one sack and one pass defended.

The Houston Texans have signed free agent defensive tackle Jerrell Powe who formerly played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Powe was drafted by now Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel while he was in Kansas City as the defensive coordinator.
Powe was drafted in the 6th round (199th overall)...
James Palmer of CSNHouston.com reports that the Texans have signed forner NT Jerrell Powe to a contract.
Powe, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2011. He spent a few years with now Texans DC Romeo Crennel in Kansas City, so the Texans should have a pretty good idea of what Powe brings to the table.

The 331-pound Powe was the Chiefs' sixth-round draft pick (199th overall) out of Ole Miss in 2011. He played in 10 games in 2011-12, recording six tackles, before he was released Sept. 1, 2013.
