LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears have claimed wide receiver Josh Bellamy off waivers from the Washington Redskins, and signed free agent tight end Matthew Mulligan to a one-year deal.
The Chicago bears claimed WR Josh Bellamy off of waivers from the Redskins, according to Brian McIntyre.
Washington announced the release of Bellamy and two other players this past Saturday.
Bellamy, 24, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2012. He appeared in five games last year, but was limited to being a special teams contributor.
The Washington Redskins announced on Saturday that they have released veteran LB Josh Hull and CB Ryan Mouton, and also waived WR Josh Bellamy.
Mouton, 27, was a third-round pick of the Titans back in 2009. He signed with the Redskins in July of last year, but unfortunately missed the entire 2013 season due to a hamstring injury.
