Falcons activate C Hawley, place WR Cone on IR
The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they activated center Joe Hawley from the reserve/commissioner exemption list and placed wide receiver Kevin Cone on injured reserve. Hawley has played in six games this season as a backup. Cone played in 12 games this season, mainly on special teams.
Falcons Injury Report: Sean Weatherspoon, Kevin Cone Out
The Atlanta Falcons, the only undefeated team in the NFL, will be without linebacker Sean Weatherspoon on Sunday. The Falcons will be taking on the Dallas Cowboys in Atlanta. The Falcons promoted wide receiver Kevin Cone and linebacker Robert James to their active roster to replace the spots vacated by cornerback Kelvin Hayden and linebacker Mike Peterson, who were placed on injured reserve yesterday. FLOWERY BRANCH — Former Georgia Tech standout Kevin Cone, who’s been on the Falcons’ practice squad, was added to the 53-man roster on Wednesday.
