The Chiefs have signed free agent wide receiver Mardy Gilyard, per Gilyard's twitter account.
Gilyard was the 99th overall selection of the 2010 draft by the St. Louis Rams. He played in just 11 games for the Rams in 2010 and finished his rookie season with 6 receptions for 63 yards.
He was released by the Rams the following season during final cut downs after the last...

Gilyard’s golden grill
Golden smile
We’ve got more coming on the Jets in the next few days. For now, though, a quick one we couldn’t help but notice: Mardy Gilyard’s golden smile.
I’ll admit it, I fall in love with college players and sometimes fail to take any sort of rational view of what they can or should become as NFL players. I can’t help it. I’ve still got these memories of Mardy Gilyard...

Jeremy Kerley (heel, hamstring) was not at practice on Monday. Gilyard will add depth to the banged up wide receiver corps and could take over punt returns. OG Hayworth Hicks was waived in a corresponding move.
He was drafted by the...
Philadelphia Eagles cut their loses and cut S Jaiquawn Jarrett, re-sign WR Mardy Gilyard
The Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday cut their 2011 2nd-round draft pick, safety Jaiquawn Jarrett.
They didn’t want to do it. Who wants to admit defeat on a 54th overall selection in the draft after just 17 games? The fact that he survived the final cuts to the 53-man roster tells you that. He had a disastrous showing in the first preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers,...
