Saints Nation: Saints Hiding Out in Cincinnati away from Isaac
The Saints are hiding out from Hurricane Isaac up in Cincinnati, and they are scheduled to conclude their preseason tomorrow night as they face the Titans in Nashville. The starters are not expected to play much, and some keys players (Graham, Sproles, Lofton, Brees etc...) won't play at all. The one thing you can look forward to that will be new is rookie receiver Nick Toon...
Saints Rookie WR Nick Toon Likely To Land On IR?
Nick Toon, the son of former NFL WR Al Toon, has been sidelined with a left foot injury since Aug. 2. The Saints say he might be back next week, but he had problems with the same foot at Wisconsin, missing all of spring drills after surgery in 2011 and one game last fall plus the Senior Bowl due to issues with scar tissue. He has good size (6-4, 218) and is a smooth runner, but he...

Saints Nation: Nick Toon Signs, All Rookies Under Contract
With Nick Toon signing a 4 year contract yesterday, the Saints have now signed every outstanding player in limbo (Brees and Toon were the last two) and they will enter training camp with no contract disputes and every player under contract. The new CBA affords all teams the luxury of virtually set pricing for draft picks depending on where they were selected, so there is almost no...
Saints’ Nick Toon has a good chance to win #4 receiver job
The New Orleans Times-Picayune says that 4th round rookie Nick Toon has a good chance to win the #4 receiver job, a competition that the New Orleans Times-Picayune predicted would be a heated one earlier in the week. Toon reportedly impressed in minicamp, catching “nearly everything” thrown his way and “seems to be better than a 4th round pick” which is a sentiment I agreed...
Saints like maturity of rookie WR Toon
Saints rookie receiver Nick Toon is wearing No. 88, just as his All-Pro father, Al, did for the New York Jets.
Although his parents never pressured him to play football - and even forbid him to play until seventh grade - the younger Toon has thrived playing the same position his father did through high school and in college at Wisconsin.
Toon says his father's advice to him...

Nick Toon looks to follow in his fathers’ footsteps
New Orleans Saints rookie Nick Toon might not be the fastest receiver on the field but at 6’2, 215 lbs his features are just what the Saints look for. The former University of Wisconsin receiver has the NFL in his genes. His father, Al Toon, played for the New York Jets from 1985 to 1992. In
Nick Toon Heads To The Big Easy
The New Orleans Saints selected wide receiver Nick Toon in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Spin:
Toon is smooth as silk as a route runner with sharp instincts and reliable hands. He comes from good stock as his father was Jets star Al Toon, and he projects as a good fit in the Saints aerial attack, and will cushion the loss of Robert Meachem. Strong fantasy upside...
