Nnamdi Asomugha Says Asante Samuel Could Have Fit On Eagles' Defense
Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha believes he could have worked with Asante Samuel on excelling as a part of the Philadelphia defense. Samuel was traded to the Falcons last month for a late-round draft pick. Asomugha signed with the Eagles before the 2011 season. The pair only played one season together. Two Philadelphia Eagles Debut on NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2012
The Philadelphia Eagles had two members of its team appear in the NFL Network’s countdown of the top 100 players of 2012 this week. That’s good, right?
The not-so-good part is that the players were ranked far lower this year than last. But given the Eagles 8-8 season in 2011, that is hardly a surprise.
CB Nnamdi Asomugha, the free agent prize of the 2011 offseason, saw...

Did expectations get the best of Nnamdi Asomugha?
If the Philadelphia Eagles plan on competing in 2012 they will need to get their money’s worth from corner Nnamdi Asomugha. Asomugha, originally a first round pick back in 2003, was the big splash the Eagles needed during free agency signing him to a five-year, $60 million dollar contract as he left the Oakland Raiders. It was a defensive backfield that was supposed to hold up...

Asomugha doesn't regret choosing Philly
Nnamdi Asomugha was headed for Broadway when the Philadelphia Eagles swooped in at the last minute and stole the All-Pro cornerback from the New York Jets.
Too bad for him there are no do-overs in free agency.
Asomugha chose the Eagles over the Jets, thinking he could help the defending NFC East champions reach the Super Bowl. That won't happen this year.
