Detroit Lions backup quarterback Shaun Hill is recovering from minor surgery on his foot. Hill had the surgery to repair a “nagging injury” on his left foot.
The Lions needed Hill for only one game last season. Hill came off the bench to go 10-of-14 for 172 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Tennessee.

Hill reportedly will re-sign with Lions
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Lions appear to have retained their insurance policy behind starting quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Lions Plan On Re-signing QB Shaun Hill
Dave Brikett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Detroit Lions have already told Shaun Hill that they intend to re-sign him during the offseason and apparently, Hill would like to remain in Detroit. Lions QB Hill works with first team
Backup quarterback Shaun Hill worked with the Detroit Lions' starters at practice Wednesday.
