Chris Johnson is apprehensive of Shonn Greene
If Chris Johnson was the game-changing running back for a top five market team his annual list of complaints would consistently register as ‘ oh-my-god’ status.
Playing in Nashville for the Tennessee Titans gives him more verbal leeway than he would have in New York.
Once again he used it to the max.

Shonn Greene, the Titans, and short yardage rushing success
When the Titans signed Shonn Greene this week, the key number that was bandied about as to why the signing was a great move was Shonn Greene was incredibly successful in 2012 on converting third-and-short into first downs. The Titans have reportedly agreed with running back Shonn Greene on a three-year, $10 million contract, according to ESPN.
Greene was a 1,000-yard rusher for the Jets the past two seasons. Greene, though, has failed to show much burst or pass-catching ability since joining New York as a 2009 third-round draft pick.

We have discussed Shonn Greene and his validity as a lead back in the New York Jets offense at length this off-season here at Turn On The Jets. However, a recent article and series of Tweets from Evan Silva, a senior NFL editor at Rotoworld and a contributor to Pro Football Talk has reopened the debate amongst Jets fans. Here is a sampling of the Tweets from Silva after watching...
New York Jets: Is Shonn Greene A Lead Back?
I have been consistent in my support of Shonn Greene as the New York Jets lead back since he burst on the scene midway through the 2009 season. Unfortunately, after watching him finally spend a full season in that coveted lead back role it is hard to believe that the Jets offense doesn’t need to add another back to take co-ownership or full ownership of that job.
His stat line...
