Dallas drafting a QB in 2012?
Dallas is probably thinking about drafting a QB whether, they want to admit it publicly or not. The Cowboys have just two quarterbacks signed for next year on their roster in Tony Romo and Stephen McGee. Jon Kitna is retired and is not coming back. Stephen McGee as of right now is the guy if Romo goes down. How comfortable are you with him taking over and leading Dallas to the...

Is McGee facing another season at bottom of depth chart?
Jon Kitna is back at school, Stephen McGee is fresh off bagging a big buck in South Texas and the Dallas Cowboys are preparing to search for a veteran backup quarterback.
Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash., introduced Kitna as its football coach on Thursday. Kitna recently retired after a 15-season NFL career, including the last three with the Cowboys.
Kitna will also teach math...

McGee "Up and Down" Against Philly
With the Giants’ victory over the Jets rendering the Cowboys-Eagles game meaningless in terms of the playoff picture, Dallas wasn’t taking any chances on Christmas Eve when Tony Romo went down with an injured hand. X-rays on the hand were negative, but Dallas inserted Stephen McGee into the game and didn’t look back. The Cowboys lost, but McGee went 24 of 38 passing...

With Romo injured, McGee and Cowboys flop
Tony Romo and Felix Jones exited early and the Cowboys played like there was nothing on the line Saturday against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles. With Stephen McGee filling in under center, the Cowboys were dominated 20-7.
Here are my thoughts on a loss that drops the Cowboys to 8-7 with one game remaining.
1.) Romo injured his throwing hand on Dallas' first possession and...

McGee on his performance against Eagles: Up and down
ARLINGTON – Stephen McGee summed up his performance Saturday night against the Eagles in three words: “Up and down.”
The Texas A&M alum came off the bench in the first quarter after Tony Romo suffered a bruised right hand that sidelined him the rest of the game.
The Cowboys (8-7) lost 20-7, but they can win the NFC East title with a win Jan. 1 at the New York Giants...

Eagles Lead Cowboys at Half, 14-0
In a game that was rendered meaningless with the Giants’ victory over the Jets--meaning that next week’s meeting between the Cowboys and Giants will decide the NFC East--the Eagles are leading a Stephen McGee-led Cowboys team 14-0, at half.
In an opening drive that was frightfully reminiscent of the first meeting between the teams, the Eagles drove down the field and...

Stephen McGee: No. 2 QB Of The Future?
With veteran Jon Kitna on the injured reserve and likely retiring at the year’s end, Stephen McGee will step into the backup role for at least the next three games--and according to Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones, there’s a good chance McGee will hold onto the no. 2 role moving into 2012.
This would be a departure for the Cowboys, who have always backed up starter...

McGee making most of Kitna’s absence
With Jon Kitna sidelined indefinitely with a back injury, third-string quarterback Stephen McGee is getting plenty of reps in practice.
“He’s just one step closer,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said of McGee, a fourth-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2009. “He gets a lot of the stuff Jon was getting. Typically, he and Jon split the scout-team reps. He’s obviously getting...

McGee will serve as backup to Romo Sunday
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Stephen McGee will be the No. 2 quarterback behind Tony Romo today after the Cowboys downgraded Jon Kitna from doubtful to out Saturday.
The 39-year-old Kitna, who has a back injury, did not travel with the team to Washington. McGee has been active for three of Dallas’ nine games this season but hasn’t taken any snaps. The Texas A&M product played...
