Report: Adrian Wilson Released, Giving Darrelle Revis No. 24 Jersey

It appears Darrelle Revis will get to wear No. 24 for the New England Patriots. The New England Patriots informed veteran safety Adrian Wilson of his release on Friday, ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss reports. Wilson acquired No. 24 from Kyle Arrington during the 2013 offseason by buying the cornerback a year’s supply of diapers. Wilson thanked the Patriots’ organization on Twitter....

New England Patriots: Where They Stand at Safety

Adrian Wilson has had more than an average career in the NFL for sure. After 10+ seasons of great safety play by the hard hitting defensive back for the Arizona Cardinals, Wilson finally lost a step or two. He was not worth keeping around for his extremely high cap numbers and unwillingness for a pay cut. The Patriots brought him in during free agency because of the weak secondary...

Tavon Wilson Patriots Highlights 2013 (by MorinIsland34) Thanks to @OliverBThomas for sending this video my way. Great flashback when even Mike Mayock was stumped by the Patriots’ selection of Tavon Wilson. I think a lot of people underestimate Wilson, but he should have every chance to start at safety this year.

Is Tavon Wilson good?

Patriot's beat writer Mike Reiss posted today about Tavon Wilson, labeling him a "wild card," and raising some excellent questions about the Patriots safety coming off his rookie season. Based on what we have seen thus far, Wilson's role in future of the secondary is difficult to assess. I posted on PatriotsLife in January and spoke to the playmaking ability...
