Colts promote Hills, waive Adams
Offensive tackle Tony Hills was elevated from the practice squad by the Indianapolis Colts, who waived wide receiver Kris Adams. Hills, 6-5, 304 pounds, is a fifth-year veteran who began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before playing for the Denver Broncos in 2011. He joined the Colts' practice squad Sept. 18.

The Indianapolis Colts this afternoon waived wide receiver Kris Adams and signed tackle Tony Hills from the practice squad to the active roster.
The move was necessitated by injuries. With guards Joe Reitz and Seth Olsen out with knee problems, tackle Jeff Linkenbach will play left guard against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
