Mellanby just couldn't stay away
Scott Mellanby played 1,431 NHL games without winning a Stanley Cup Championship and retired last season after 2 seasons in Atlanta. Now the 41 year old is back in hockey, the Vancouver Canucks signed Mellanby to assist newly hired general manager Mike Gillis in all areas of hockey operations. Mellanby played the 3rd most games in the history of hockey without winning a ring and I don't know if that will change for him going to the front office of the Canucks.
