General manager Peter Chiarelli revealed in his post-deadline news conference that the Bruins defenseman is suffering from a quad strain. The club has decided to shut down McQuaid for 2-3 weeks and go from there. It’s certainly a setback for the Bruins given the fact that McQuaid seemed nearing a return until a recent setback. “He was really close,” Chiarelli said.  ”You’ve heard say (head coach) Claude (Julien)  talk about him being ready to go, and he’s had good sessions over the break, but he just reaggravated it.
