Found March 15, 2013 on Diehardsport:
Los Angeles Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin dropped the gloves with San Jose Sharks forward Andrew Desjardins after he leveled Colin Fraser.  Muzzin wanted to stand up for his teammate, even though Desjardins dished out a clean hit.  Unfortunately for Muzzin, he didn’t win the fight and and he earned 19 penalty minutes on the play for an Instigator (2 min), Instigator with a visor (2 min & 10 min misconduct) and then 5 minutes for fighting.  Los Angeles went on to lose the game 4-3, but Colin Fraser would be alright. Colin Fraser gets plastered by Desjardins… Muzzin stands up for his teammate but might get a few extra PIM for it. — LA Kings (@LAKings) March 15, 2013 Close, but not close enough. #LAKings outscore the Sharks 3-1, but not before giving them the first three goals of the game. — LA Kings (@LAKings) March 15, 2013 [YouTube]

Sharks 4, Kings 3

Matt Irwin and Logan Couture made Los Angeles pay for retaliating by scoring power-play goals after Jake Muzzin started a fight to help the San Jose Sharks snap a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Kings on Thursday night. Couture added a second goal and Brent Burns also scored for the Sharks, who earned just their third regulation win in 21 games. Antti Niemi made...

Quick pulled in Kings' loss to Sharks

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Matt Irwin and Logan Couture made Los Angeles pay for retaliating by scoring power-play goals after Jake Muzzin started a fight to help the San Jose Sharks snap a four-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the Kings on Thursday night. Couture added a second goal and Brent Burns also scored for the Sharks, who earned just their third regulation win in...

Matthew Barry: Kings Win in Toffoli Debut

Last game against the Sharks the Kings were like a bottle of Trader Joe's 2-buck Chuck. Tonight they were like a bottle of 2001 Masseto. Kyle Clifford gave the Kings an early 1-0 lead then fought a guy who looks like a Transformer. Justin Williams gave the Kings a 2-0 lead heading into the 2nd, but the Sharks came out in the 2nd smoking like a Chevy Monza with a blown...

Todd McLellan is a genius

McLellan is an outside-the-box-fearless genius for solving a problem with the pieces at hand instead of waiting for new ones. That declaration is contingent on him keeping Brent Burns at forward. Failure to continue doing so will trigger revocation of said genius status and an indefinite stay inside the box. Loved Cranky showing off for his dissenters.  Seriously, all the way...

Kings 5, Sharks 2

Kyle Clifford recorded his first two-goal game in the NHL, and Justin Williams, Jarret Stoll and Dwight King also scored as the Los Angeles Kings to beat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 on Saturday night. Jonathan Bernier stopped 21 shots for the defending Stanley Cup champions in the opener of a five-game homestand, including a penalty shot by Tommy Wingels at 7:58 of the second period...

Matthew Barry: Kings Rally Falls Short in 4-3 Loss

If last game the Kings were sloppier than a Tijuana hooker, tonight they were as messy as a 2 year old with diarrhea. They started strong but after Muzzin stuck up for Fraser who was sent into orbit by Desjardins, they allowed 2 power play goals. Jonathan Quick was pulled like pork and his save percentage is now as bad as my free credit report dot com score. The best team in...

Kings split back-to-back meetings with Sharks

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Kyle Clifford recorded his first two-goal game in the NHL, and Justin Williams, Jarret Stoll and Dwight King also scored as the Los Angeles Kings to beat the San Jose Sharks 5-2 on Saturday night. Jonathan Bernier stopped 21 shots for the defending Stanley Cup champions in the opener of a five-game homestand, including a penalty shot by Tommy Wingels at 7:58...

Cam Gore: The Brent Burns factor

The Sharks scored four goals for the first time since their fifth game of the season and held on to beat the Kings 4-3. Their newest goal scoring threat came from within the organization as Brent Burns scored one and assisted on the game winner. “He’s an animal out there” was Logan Couture’s description of the way his new line mate Brent Burns played tonight...

Cam Gore: Sharks lay an egg in LA

The San Jose Sharks came out as flat as day old beer Saturday night against the Kings in a 5-2 loss. There wasn’t a single Shark that stood out for the right reasons. “How frickin disappointing is that?” were the first words out of Coach Todd McLellan’s mouth after the game. “We play against the Stanley Cup Champions back to back, we were lucky enough...

Most Overrated Players In The NHL

Jeff Carter (Los Angeles Kings) Photo Credit: AP Shocking, I know. But do not get caught up in his goal production this year. Yes, he has scored 17 on the year, giving him credit for 23 percent of the Kings’ goals. But the problem lies in his assists. Carter only registered two assists on the year so far. Two. Between even strength and power plays he has played at one point or...

Matthew Barry: At What Price Iginla?

The Kings aren't trading Jonathan Bernier for Jarome Iginla. It doesn't make any sense. Period. Jonathan Quick's save percentage has been about as awful as "Bert Wonderstone" reviews and going into the playoffs, it may just be Bernier that supplants Quick unless he can get his sugar honey iced tea together and fast. So then, is it Tyler Toffoli? Why would...

San Jose Sharks Forward Adam Burish talks all about hockey groupies

In the midst of Blackhawks mania, I thought it might be a great time to bring back this gem from a couple years ago. Current San Jose Sharks and former Chicago Blackhawks forward Adam Burish was once named the 26th most eligible single by Chicago magazine. The former Wisconsin Badgers champion (and Facebook friend to TSB) Burish showed off his bachelor pad, complete with upscale...
