Aaron Musick: Duchene back... and at wing

Matt Duchene is returning to the lineup tonight against the Winnipeg Jets the same place he left it: the wing. Duchene is going to be kept at wing at least for a game on a line with Paul Stastny and Milan Hejduk. David Jones will be moved down the third line, even despite his strong play on that line, with Jay McClement and Daniel Winnik. With T.J. Galardi on IR and Peter...

Duchene makes his return tonight, at left wing on a line with Stastny and Hejduk. Peter Mueller has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Feb. 11 to make room for Duchene...

Aaron Musick: New line powers Avs to win

With Matt Duchene and Peter Mueller out, the Avs needed some production from new players. Answer: Mark Olver. Olver, who has missed most of the season with a concussion and has recently been playing in Lake Erie, returned to the Avalanche lineup in style with a two point night. Olver lined up with Ryan O'Reilly and Gabriel Landeskog and that line produced all of the offense...

Mueller out tonight, Duchene too; but maybe Sunday for Dutchy

EDMONTON – Peter Mueller indeed won’t play tonight. Avs are adamant it’s a torso injury, not a concussion. I’m not disputing it. Of course, I’m unable to talk with Mueller himself, nor him to me, because it’s a strict team rule that injured players not speak to media. Matt Duchene won’t play tonight, but his status has been upgraded to day-to-day. Sounds like there...
