The New York Rangers have announced that defenseman Brendan Bell has been assigned to the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League and Scott Stajcer to the Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League, per ESPN. The Rangers have now cut their roster down to 22 players, including defenseman Tim Erixon, who will remain in the lineup presumably until Marc Staal (post-concussion symptoms) returns.  New York Rangers Current Roster Forwards (13): Brandon Dubinsky, Brad Richards, Marian Gaborik, Ruslan Fedotenko, Artem Anisimov, Ryan Callahan, Wojtek Wolski, Derek Stepan, Mats Zuccarello, Mike Rupp, Brian Boyle, Brandon Prust, Erik Christensen Defensemen (7): Dan Girardi, Ryan McDonagh, Michael Del Zotto, Michael Sauer, Steve Eminger, Tim Erixon, Marc Staal Goalies (2): Henrik Lundqvist, Marty Biron
