Bryan Bickell is looking forward to Friday's parade and rally for the Chicago Blackhawks' second Stanley Cup title in four seasons.
The big forward also hopes to be a part of more celebrations in the city in the coming years.
Bickell is eligible for unrestricted free agency and could cash in after coming up with a big postseason despite playing the last series against Boston with a sprained right knee that raised questions about if he would be able to play at all against the Bruins.
But the 27-year-old Bickell, drafted by Chicago in 2004, wants to remain with the Blackhawks and is open to giving the team a discount in order to stay. He says his agent has talked to general manager Stan Bowman about a new contract.

For a game, while brutal in its most basic essence, to maintain a long-standing tradition remains of shaking hands in a display of sportsmanship after a hard-fought, likely antagonistic and sometimes even downright hate-filled and vitriolic playoff series, perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising that the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks took out a full-page ad [...]The post...

YouTube Jonathan Toews is on top of the world after the Blackhawks won Stanley’s Cup Monday night. Tuesday night, he was on top of dozens of hands at Chicago’s Board Room. It’s hard to tell who liked it more – Toews or the pack of 20-something guys getting in their cheap feels. You do you, Chicago. [The Big Lead]
The summer watch of Patrick Kane and what crazy stuff he will do has begun. The Chicago Blackhawks forward arrived back in Chicago with the Stanley Cup and kicked things off by wearing a unicorn head and drinking at a bar called Bub City in River North and then spraying champagne on people outside of Rockit Bar. No word on where his Conn Smythe trophy is, but this will be fun...
Back in 2010, when the Chicago Blackhawks last won the Stanley Cup, head coach Joel Quennville‘s house was toilet papered. Now it seems that act of sanctioned vandalism is becoming a tradition when the Hawks come out on top of the NHL.
For the record, no, it isn’t bitter Bruins fans that covered Quennville’s front yard in TP. On Tuesday, pictures emerged on Twitter of Blackhawks...
Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Sharp's toddler daughter shared an absolutely precious moment with the 2013 Stanley Cup.
The Blackhawks held their Stanley Cup parade today in Chicago. Corey Crawford took this opportunity to deliver a very short but very profane speech to the Windy City.
32 words, 2 f-bombs, 1 testicles reference = Championship speech if I’ve ever heard one.

That sound you hear? That’s Herb Brooks rolling over in his grave. Either during a boisterous moment of bravado or a patently absurd display of historical ignorance — or both — Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel, while taking in the festivities surrounding the Chicago Blackhawks’ victory parade and celebration on Friday, referred to the team’s Stanley [...]The post Chicago...
Television networks might want to consider using a five-second delay for these Stanley Cup championship parades.
Kings goalie Jonathan Quick dropped a few F-bombs during last year’s victory rally in Los Angeles, and his Blackhawks counterpart, Corey Crawford, followed suit Friday afternoon in Chicago.
After being presented with the Hawks’ ceremonial “championship belt” by...
From ESPN Chicago's Jesse Rogers:
Everyone has a different definition of what makes up a dynasty but most would agree if the Chicago Blackhawks win another Stanley Cup championship the word would apply to them.
"In 2010 you guys waited 49 years to do this," forward Patrick Sharp said at a rally on Friday to celebrate this year's title. "This year we...
Wow! The Chicago Blackhawks organization is a first class organization. Very touching gesture.
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have taken out a full-page advertisement in The Boston Globe thanking the city and its fans.

Although most of you probably didn’t give two sh*t’s about it, the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup earlier this week. Seeing that no one in America really cares too much about hockey though, we’re giving you the reasons why you should actually be excited about this news—even if it doesn’t make you like the [...]
