The St. Louis Blues placed defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo on injured reserve with an upper body injury on Tuesday.
Colaiacovo suffered the injury during Saturday's season-opening loss against the Nashville Predators. He's eligible to return to the Blues for Sunday's game versus the Anaheim Ducks.
The 17th overall pick of the 2001 draft, Colaiacovo collected six goals and 20 assists in 65 games last season.
The 28-year-old Toronto native did not record a point against the Predators on Saturday.
