PAVEL BUCHNEVICH RUMORS

Pronman: Buchnevich, Duclair atop prospect list

Per Corey Pronman (subs. req’d), Pavel Buchnevich and Anthony Duclair sit atop the Rangers prospect list this year. Although the Rangers are ranked 28th in the league (by Pronman), it’s worth noting this nugget: Following the graduation of several top prospects, dealing away top picks and the simply fine development of some of their early-round […] The post Pronman: Buchnevich...

Buchnevich cracks ESPN’s Top 100 Prospects

Pavel Buchnevich (3rd, 2013) was the lone Ranger to crack Corey Pronman’s Top 100 Prospects list for ESPN (Insiders Only) at #25. Buchnevich didn’t have sexy numbers with the KHL this season, but he had the third-best under-19 season in KHL history. He’s an elite talent that held his own in a league that is very […] The post Buchnevich cracks ESPN’s Top 100 Prospects appeared...

2014 WJC: Buchnevich, Russia eliminated by Sweden

Pavel Buchnevich and Russia were eliminated from the 2014 World Junior Championships this morning, losing to Sweden 2-1. With Buchnevich’s exit, the Rangers no longer have any prospects in the tournament. Sweden will face the Canada/Finland winner for the gold. In six tournament games, Buchnevich finished with a line of 2-5-7 with 18 PIMs (most coming from his misconduct penalty...

WATCH: Russian player taunts USA after winning at World Juniors, USA player retaliates

USA was down 4-3 to Russia at the U-20 World Junior Tournament with their goalie pulled when defenseman Matt Grzelcyk lost the puck, fell down and Russian forward Pavel Buchnevich buried it into the empty netter.  That wasn’t enough for Buchnevich who skated by the USA bench and taunting the team.  US forward Ryan Hartman wasn’t having any of it and managed to stick Buchnevich...

WJHC: Fly-by ends poorly for Russia's Pavel Buchnevich

This is the very reason that I would like the see the fly-by the benches curtailed. There was no reason for the Russian forward Pavel Buchnevich to skate by the American bench taunting the USA players like that. Obviously, Buchnevich would get his just deserts with the stick to upper body. Karma, maybe... I took a little bit of heat for the aricle, I also had some youth hockey coaches...

Russian Coach Makes Obscene Gesture at American Bench at World Juniors (GIFs)

Russia eliminated Team USA from the World Junior Championships in the quarterfinals on Thursday morning and they didn’t do it quietly. The reigning gold medal winners were sent packing following a 5-3 loss but, to make the loss even harder to swallow, the Russians weren’t necessarily humble winners. After Pavel Buchnevich‘s empty-net goal sealed the win, he skated by the American...

ATF: Buchnevich sees ice time slashed for second straight game

Pavel Buchnevich (3rd, 2013) saw his ice time slashed again, as his Severstal Cherepovets lost to Avangard Omsk in a shootout, 4-3. Buchnevich did not factor in the scoring, and played just 11:30 of ice time. That is down from his 14 minutes last game and 17 minutes in the Severstal season opener. It is worth noting that Buchnevich has averaged a little less than three SOG per game...
