The New York Islanders are scheduled to play the New Jersey Devils in a preseason game at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn next season. The Oct. 2 matchup will also be the first NHL game to be played in the borough. "We're extremely excited to play the first NHL game in the new, state-of-the-art Barclays Center," Islanders general manager Garth Snow said in a statement.
