After that 17 seconds from hell in Game Six, most Bruins fans could not bear (pun intended) to watch any of the Chicago Blackhawks Cup parade. And over a month later, I still had NO desire to watch any of it until this tweet: #Blackhawks‘ Corey Crawford didn’t want to talk about his infamous speech during Stanley Cup rally. Wants to move on from it. — Chris Kuc (@ChrisKuc) July 26, 2013   This piqued my interest. What did “Mr. Slow Hand” Corey Crawford say that was so embarrassing? Then there was this oratory car wreck: Looks the Blackhawks goalie spends as much time working on his public speaking as his glove side. Sorry Corey you weren’t the reason your team won, it was Patrick Kane & Jonathan Toews. Now you can go back to being a second rate goalie lucky enough to get a ring. Oh yeah Team Canada, please start him during the Olympics, so you won’t even medal!

‘My Little Blackhawk’ Tumblr: An adorable ode to the Chicago Blackhawks (pics)

From simple ideas often come brilliant things. Such is the case with “My Little Blackhawk,” a Tumblr page dedicated to depicting the Chicago Blackhawks as little horsey critters akin to the “My Little Pony,” a Hasbro creation that reached its pinnacle of fame in toys, merchandising, cartoons, etc. in the 1980s. How the concept materialized [...]The post ‘My Little Blackhawk’...

Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw Could Really Use A Twerk Lesson

At a Blackhawks fan convention on Friday night, Andrew Shaw showed us once again why he’s one of Chicago’s most beloved athletes. Blackhawks sign coach Joel Quenneville to three-year extension

The Chicago Blackhawks have been busy this summer keeping the gang together while staying under the salary cap. Luckily for them coaches don't count on the cap so re-signing coach Joel Quenneville was an easier proposition one that was completed on Friday. The Blackhawks said on Thursday they had a "major announcement" to make and it was just as many expected: an announcement...

Chicago Blackhawks Convention Day 2 Recap

The Chicago Blackhawks Convention continued Saturday with a 10-hour day that included autograph sessions, panels, and entertainment for fans. I unwisely spent five hours of my day acquiring a wristband and signature of Tony Esposito. The extremely wasteful time has meaning because my dad grew up a “Tony O” fan, so getting his autograph on my dad’s Blackhawks sweater was important...

Blackhawks claim they won’t suffer from a ‘Stanley Cup hangover’

The one and only one comfort I took in "my team" losing to the eventual Stanley Cup champions involved the fact that "my team's" season ended on April 27th, and the Chicago Blackhawks' season ended on June 24th. Training camps for the 2013-2014 regular season will start on the weekend of September 13th, and thanks to the shortened season and its incredibly...

John Jaeckel: Q Extended; 1990-2000 All Decade Team

Follow me @jaeckel Well, one of the worst kept secrets in a long time is out—Blackhawk head coach Joel Quenneville has had his contract extended through 2017. Well-deserved for one of the best coaches in hockey. Casual fans so often point to the drafting of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane as the key factors in the turnaround of the Hawks' on-ice fortunes. But it can...
