Found June 06, 2013 on Boston Sports Then & Now:
Pens goon Matt Cooke got an earful from Bruins fans in the penalty box in Game Three. And it was glorious. No one deserves taunting and ball busting more than this “Re-Born” tool bag.  Every Bruins fan must of got out of their seats and off their couches when Looch threw that puke around in the corner. Of course, Cooke went in to the fetal position praying Looch did not rearrange his face. Well done Mr. Lucic well done.   Pot Of Baked Beans Goes To The Nose Bleeds!

Preview: Pittsburgh Penguins Face Do Or Die Situation

The Pittsburgh Penguins come into tonight’s game with nothing left to lose. Win and live to play another day. Lose and go home. It’s do or die and there’s no room for error. Pick your cliche. Regardless, the Penguins have a monumental task at hand as they need to win the next four games to advance, something that’s only been done three other times in the history of the NHL...

Let's All Panic by @Nick422

Why not?  The Penguins are down 2-0, fairly convincingly, to a very tough Boston Bruins team.  Things look really bleak.  Players are playing poorly.  What else is there to do?(Gene J. Puskar/AP)Let's all panic.Never mind that this is the time the Penguins lost back-to-back games at home since January.  Never mind that these are the only two wins the Bruins have against...

Preview: Pittsburgh Penguins at Boston Bruins – Game Three

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Game Three is a monumental game for both the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Boston Bruins. The Penguins are down 0-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals heading into Game Three and are looking for any signs of life to get back on track tonight in Boston. Though he was yanked from Game Two after giving up three goals in the first period...

Penguins play hangman at practice before Game 3

Yes, seriously…that happened. Pens players showed up to the rink today with a game set up on one of the coach’s whiteboards, and the winning word wound up being “comeback.” The Penguins are seriously grasping for some motivation right now and are settling for hangman to do the job. Because it’s the cup? Personally, I like the below version better. via @MassholeSports

Bruins Survive Final Penguins Surge in Closing Seconds to Clinch Stanley Cup Final Bid (Video)

The Bruins took a 1-0 lead into the final minute of Game 4 on Friday, but the Penguins would not go down without a fight. With goalie Tomas Vokoun pulled for an extra skater, Pittsburgh unleashed one last flurry in the Boston zone. Pascal Dupuis nearly capitalized with Tuukka Rask on his knees outside the crease, but the Bruins’ scrambling defense prevented the Penguins from getting...

Bruins-Penguins: Lucic’s Beat Down Of Cooke Looks A Lot Like Neely’s Pummeling Of Ulfie (VIDEOS)

Bruins forward Milan Lucic did what everyone wants to do to the Pens’ Matt Cooke…kick his cheapshotting ass. The Boston Bruins hate Matt Cooke especially after running Adam McQuaid through the boards earlier in the series and ending Marc Savard’s career in 2010. Re-born my ass….. Milan Lucic’s beat down of Cooke looked a lot like Cam Neely’s pummeling of Ulf Samuelsson...

Penguins Needed One More Goal

from Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe, The Bruins’ second trip to the Stanley Cup Final in three seasons became a fait accompli at 12:13 a.m. Thursday, thanks to a Patrice Bergeron strike at 15:19 of double overtime that turned Pittsburgh’s best performance of the Eastern Conference finals into its worst nightmare. Amid the elation on Causeway Street, where 17...

Playoff Gameday: Eastern Conference Final - Game Three

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Boston Bruins Bruins lead series 2-0 NBCSN, CBC, RDS - 8:00 pm/et TD Garden - Boston, MA We've all spent days blaming various players, disecting different plays, cursing and speculating about which goaltender would be in net. Guess what? None of that really matters. The Pittsburgh Penguins as a team were terrible in game two. It was...

rubble

Last night was the best game the Penguins have played all series.  We believe that.  But there's nothing--absolutely nothing on this earth--like watching the best game your team plays all series and still having them sent to the brink.  Both goalies were fantastic, but Rask had to be more fantastic.  Rask stole the game.  53 saves on 54 shots is hardly a joke.  It's...

Ty Anderson: Live-Blog: The Dagger

(Welcome to the TD Garden for tonight's Game 4 showdown of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Bruins and visiting Pittsburgh Penguins...) This is it for the Pittsburgh Penguins: Win or go home. Live to see another day -- and at least one more in your home rink -- or bow out without so much as a roar. It'd be perhaps the most anti-Pittsburgh move experienced...

Marchand and Kunitz incident gif

s/t to Nicholas Scibetta. Okay, I have to admit that this was a bush league move, I admit. Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand was given a two minute minor penalty for kneeing and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz was given a two minute minor for slashing.
