Going down early to the Rangers 2-0, the Bruins looked flat coming out of the gate at Madison Square Garden.
Marian Gaborik made them pay for their slothfulness, slotting in a pair of first-period goals which prompted a Bruins timeout. However, as poor as the B’s looked in the early going, eventually they got their legs under them and made a game of it, losing in overtime 4-3.
