The New York Rangers own a relatively comfortable lead atop the Eastern Conference, so they can afford to settle for one point now and then. The Boston Bruins need all the points they can get with their division lead slipping. With injured Rangers captain Ryan Callahan possibly out for a third straight game, New York goes for its fifth straight victory in this Original Six matchup Sunday at Madison Square Garden. Each of these teams has 19 regular season games remaining. The Rangers (41-15-7) lead the Atlantic Division by eight points over Pittsburgh, and are 10 in front of Boston (38-22-3) for the top seed in the conference. New York has won its last three games at MSG, but its three-game overall surge ended Friday with a 4-3 overtime loss at Tampa Bay. Brandon Dubinsky pulled the Rangers even with 3:27 left in regulation, but Henrik Lundqvist was beaten by the Lightning's Ryan Malone 1:58 into the extra session.
