Sometimes there are things much more important than sports. The City of Boston got that harsh, cruel reminder Monday afternoon.
The NHL announced Monday afternoon that they have postponed their scheduled game with the Ottawa Senators originally scheduled for Monday night at 7 p.m. in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing. The game will be rescheduled, but there is no makeup date at this moment.
“The National Hockey League wishes to express its sympathy to all affected by the tragic events that took place in Boston earlier this afternoon,” the league announced in the statement.
