If the NHL is the bad spouse and hockey fans are the jilted lover, it will take a lot of chocolate and roses to make up for the pain of a months-long lockout. The Bruins are trying to do their part, although not with confectionary goodies. Instead, Bruins fans coming to home games in January can expect to see free concession vouchers, discounts and giveaways galore. The Bruins announced Sunday morning that each fan attending a game in January will be given vouchers that will allow him or her to get three food or non-alcoholic beverage items per game. The Boston Bruins Pro Shop and fan zones will also be offering all merchandise at 25 percent off during home games in January, with season ticket-holders and Premium Club fans getting 30 percent off. For the Bruins’ first game of the season, a 7 p.m. matchup against the New York Rangers at TD Garden on Jan. 19, fans will also have the chance to win several prizes. Through the Shirts Off Our Backs promotion, game-worn players’ jerseys will be available, and fans can also win a chance to fly with the Bruins on the team charter, or to visit the team locker room after a game. Fans can also win free parking to home games, a suite for a game or concert, an exclusive skate at TD Garden, or a shopping spree at the team pro shop. Training camp, which runs Sunday through Friday, is also open to the public, with Sunday’s 1 p.m. session offering free parking and concession items.
