Once upon a time Mike Cammalleri was a 39-goal scorer in the NHL. He will try to regain that form in Calgary after arriving from Montreal in a trade. His goal totals have plunged to 26 and 19 the past two seasons. In his first 35 games this season he scored just nine goals and added just 13 assists. Before his trade to the Flames, he picked up his pace with 11 points during a 15-game span.“It hasn’t been a great year-production-wise, no doubt,” Cammalleri told Calgary reporters. “I don’t think it does any good to try to figure out in front of the cameras what it specifically was or wasn’t. I’m just going to worry about playing as hard as I can tomorrow. I have full confidence in my ability to produce.”Sure enough, he scored in his first game for the Flames. Here are some other established winger looking to pick up their scoring pace during the season’s second half:Patrick Marleau, Sharks: An ever better San Jose power play -- with Brent Burns offering a second hammer on the blue line ...

Final thoughts on Cammalleri, Habs-Sens
The Habs face the Sens tonight. I said they had to win 2 of 3 on Thursday, and they lost to Boston, so this is it. Win today, win tomorrow, or I really think the playoff chase is out of gas. We won’t know for sure until, in my opinion, the end of January, but this team is running on fumes, and a win tonight would help move it forward at least a little bit.
As for Mike Cammalleri...

Shaune Vetter: Returning To Calgary
It was a homecoming on two fronts at the Dome on Saturday night as Mike Cammalleri was hoping to help the Flames push towards a playoff spot, while on the other bench Darryl Sutter has been doing a great job doing just that for the LA Kings. In fact, after the Kings beat the Flames, their record since the former Flames almighty leader took over was an impressive 7-1-4, and even though...
The Trade Winds are Blowing: Michael Cammalleri is first to go
As the Boston Bruins were putting the finishing touches on yet another loss for the lowly 2011-12 Montreal Canadiens, GM Pierre Gauthier was finalizing the trade of left winger Michael Cammalleri.
When all was said and done, Gauthier shipped Cammalleri, Karri Ramo and a fifth round pick to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Rene Bourque, prospect Patrick Holland and a second round...

Season of change continues in Montreal
Another day, another headline for the Montreal Canadiens.
In a season marked by disappointment and curious moves, the NHL's most decorated franchise was the talk of the league again on Thursday night when news broke that Michael Cammalleri had been traded to Calgary for Rene Bourque.
The teams also swapped a prospect and a pick in the deal, which Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier...

Habs Should be Sellers...
With seven points in their last six games, it would appear as though the Montreal Canadiens are finally starting to turn a corner under Randy Cunneyworth, yet with little tarmac left for the Habs to take off and catch the tail end of the playoff pack, thoughts have begun drifting towards trade deadline day.
While dishing off Michael Cammalleri should...

Shaune Vetter: A Tough Loss In The Shark Tank
Last night the Calgary Flames went head-to-head against one of the premier teams in the Western Conference and battled them to a stalemate through 3 periods and an overtime session only to fall in the shootout as neither Mike Cammalleri, nor Jarome Iginla was able to score during the showdown while Michal Handzus and Brent Burns were able to score for the Sharks.

Flames-Sharks Preview
Before losing this weekend, the Calgary Flames were nearly flawless at home for much of the past two months. It's been quite the opposite away from there.
The Flames' chances of avoiding their longest road losing streak in nearly five years don't appear promising as they'll visit the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night.
