Montreal, which scored six times in a 10-shot span, improved to 3-1-2 in its last six games and pulled to within eight points of eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Jiri Hudler ended All-Star Carey Price's bid for his 15th career shutout by scoring just 21 seconds into the third period. Hudler also converted from the doorstep nearly six minutes later, but Detroit's deficit was too large to overcome on this night.
