The Vancouver Canucks acquired left wing David Booth, center Steve Reinprecht and a third-round pick in the 2013 draft from the Florida Panthers on Saturday for right wing Mikael Samuelsson and left wing Marco Sturm.
Booth collected 23 goals and 16 assists last season with the Panthers. The 26-year-old notched just one assist this season.
Reinprecht, 35, recorded 10 points in 29 games while also seeing time in the German Elite League.
Samuelsson, 30, posted 50 points - 18 goals and 32 assists - in 75 games with the Canucks last season. He had a goal and an assist in six contests this season.
The 21st overall pick of the 1996 draft, Sturm had not cracked the scoresheet this season. The 33-year-old German had five goals and 11 assists in 35 contests last season with the Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals.
