The Bruins’ fourth line has been called many things. The players are probably OK with them all, as long as you can call them “winners.” You can on Tuesday night after a gritty, gutsy performance for Boston pushed the B’s to a 3-0 series lead over the New York Rangers. After the dramatic, come-from-behind victory, NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley were rinkside at Madison Square Garden to break down the action. Check out what the two had to say in the above video.

The Trials and Tribulations of Tyler Seguin

As the Boston Bruins prepare for their shot at completing the four-game series sweep of the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden, on the heels of a thrilling come-from-behind 2-1 victory in that very building Tuesday night, the question that continues to baffle fans and media pundits alike is as follows. What is going on...

Jaromir Jagr Hosts, Visits With Children of Boston First Responders After Game 2 in Boston (Photo)

Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr took to the ice following Game 2 against the Rangers on Sunday to get some extra work in. That’s not all he was doing, however, after the team’s 5-2 win against New York. Jagr also spent time after the game hanging out with a group of children. The group of 20 kids, which are all members of the Boys and Girls Club, are also children of Boston first...

Boston Bruins Goalie Tuukka Rask Drops F Bomb On Reporter

A.B. According to Toucher & Rich and descriptions/comments on numerous websites – the unnamed reporter from 98.5 The Sports Hub angered Bruins goalie, Tuukka Rask, by touching (and possibly knocking over) his iPad. For me, the story isn’t the swearing on live television. For me, the stare down is the story. If Tuukka had punched the reporter in the face I wouldn’t have...

Providence Bruins Blow 3-0 Lead in AHL Playoffs, Fall to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in Game 7

Bruins fans, look away. After winning the first three games of their Eastern Conference semifinal series, the B’s AHL affiliate in Providence proceeded to drop four straight to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh’s farm club), who completed the comeback with a 5-0 shellacking of the P-Bruins on their home ice Wednesday night. It marked just the third time in AHL history...

Dennis Seidenberg ‘Getting Better Every Day,’ Optimistic About Game 4 Return (Video)

As you probably know, Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg has been out of action since Game 7 against the Maple Leafs. Luckily for him, the B’s have been just fine in Seidenberg’s absence, and he admits that it makes it easier to take an additional day to get healthy knowing that your teammates are taking care of business. Even though he’s not on the ice, Seidenberg has a pretty...

Bruins Vs Rangers: Keys To Game 3

Its time for game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals in New York City. The Bruins took the first two games at home and now are away for two games against the Rangers. The Bruins picked up their play in game 2 and they looked much more like their former selves. We've seen that before though, not only this season, but even in the first round of the playoffs. There were games...

Jack Edwards Says Daniel Paille’s Game 3 Goal Defied Laws of Physics (Audio)

Feel like the hockey gods just won’t let Shawn Thornton score? So does Jack Edwards. After the Bruins’ Game 3 win over the New York Rangers to take a commanding 3-0 series lead, Edwards took some time to talk to the Loren & Wally show on WROR. Specifically, he talked about Daniel Paille‘s game-winning goal, which was put home off of Thornton’s rebound. Like everyone else...

Brad Marchand, Bruins Looking for ‘Killer Instinct’ to Avoid Letting Rangers Back Into Series (Video)

The Bruins learned their lesson in the first round against the Maple Leafs. Now, when they have a chance to put a team in a difficult position, they’re looking to take it. After nearly coughing up a 3-1 series lead to Toronto, the B’s are intent on closing taking advantage of their 2-0 edge against New York. Add in the fact that the Blueshirts came back from a 2-0 deficit of...

Bruins, Rangers team up for double high sticks

Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin was bringing the puck into the zone when he went to put a shot on net.  As he shot, New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider put his stick out to poke check, and Seguin’s follow through ended up riding all the way up Kreider’s stick and Kreider was hit in the face.  At the same time Rangers defenseman Steve Eminger was trying to impede Seguin...

Bruins On A Roll

from Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe, The Bruins are undefeated since they escaped elimination May 13. That was the night it all kicked in. It was “The Miracle On Ice” of the New Millennium. Faced with what appeared to be certain extinction, the Bruins staged the comeback of the ages. They flipped the switch one last time. Claude Julien’s Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde team became...

Jeff Gorton, Bruins Give Hope For The Future

Suffice to say that a 3-0 series deficit was not the plan. The powerplay is more miserable than it has ever been, and that is saying a lot. Brad Richards has, in one season, gone from playoff hero to playoff zero. Injuries are affecting important players. The Rangers look like a team with no confidence.  That being said, at some point we have to acknowledge that the Bruins...

Bruins 2, Rangers 1

Daniel Paille snapped a tie with 3:31 left in the third period, and the Boston Bruins put the New York Rangers on the brink of elimination with a 2-1 victory in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series on Tuesday night. Musings: Trying to stay alive and do the impossible, plus two rants

Not going anywhere. (JOHN TLUMACKI/GLOBE STAFF) Chris isn’t available to do the musings today, so you’re stuck with me today. Today is game day, although I sense that many have a feeling of dread today. With the Rangers down 3-0, it’s understandable. Winning this series is unlikely, but it has been done before against these Bruins. That was in 2010 when the Flyers came back...

Bruins-Rangers Live: B’s Look to Close Out New York in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden

8 a.m. ET: The Bruins will be in a familiar position when the puck drops for Game 4 at Madison Square Garden, and they can call on examples of both the right way and the wrong way to handle the situation.
