Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh left tonight’s contest against the Dallas Stars with an undisclosed injury. The Blackhawks announced that he would miss the remainder of the game.

Raddysh logged 0:58 seconds of ice time before exiting the game.

The 25-year-old has registered five goals and five assists for 10 points in 34 games while averaging 16:38 minutes of ice time.

Raddysh was acquired by the Blackhawks at the 2022 trade deadline as part of the Brandon Hagel deal. Last season, he tallied a career-high 20 goals and 37 points in 78 games. Raddysh is in the final year of a three-year, $2,274,999 million contract he signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning; the contract has an average annual value of $758,333.

Raddysh was initially selected in the second round, No. 58 overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Draft. The Caledon, Ontario product played major junior hockey with the Erie Otters and Soo Greyhounds. During the 2016-17 campaign, he led the Otters to an OHL Championship, scoring 42 goals and 67 assists for 109 points in 58 games. Raddysh added a whopping 31 points in 22 OHL Playoff Contests and added 11 points in five Memorial Cup games.

He made his NHL debut in the 2021-22 campaign and notched 12 points in 53 games before being dealt to Chicago. Raddysh primarily spent his time with the Bolts organization in the American Hockey League (AHL) with their affiliate Syracuse Crunch.

Expect an update from head coach Luke Richardson in the post-game or coming days on Raddysh’s status.

Chicago has an 11-22-1 record and currently sits 8th in the Central Division with 23 points. The Blackhawks will once again play Dallas on Dec. 31 to cap off 2023.
