Found March 11, 2013 on NESN.com:
The shortened NHL season, with its quick start and jam-packed schedule, was supposed to mean a plethora of injuries across the league. While some teams like the Senators have fallen in line with that, the Bruins have been one of the luckier clubs when it comes to medical issues this season. The B’s entered Monday’s game in Ottawa having missed just seven man games as team this season to injury (Ottawa, meanwhile, had lost 112 entering Monday). That may be about to change. Forward Chris Kelly left the game Monday and did not return after colliding with Senators forward Chris Neil in the neutral zone. The two players’ legs crashed into injury, and Kelly got by far the worst of it. The veteran center was down on the ice for a few minutes before being helped off the ice, putting virtually no pressure on his left leg. The B’s were tight-lipped about his status after the game, offering little information other than the fact that Kelly will travel with the club when the Bruins head to Pitt...

Shawn Thornton Has Humorous Reaction to Kaspar Daugavins’ Shootout Attempt (Video)

With that in mind, NESN Nation’s Dan...

Chris Kelly out indefinitely with busted tibia

Chris Kelly is out for god knows how long. It was reported today that he has a broken tibia and is out indefinitely. Ouch. Here's the play for those who don't remember and/or love to watch knee on knee hits: From CSNNE: According to the Bruins, Kelly is out indefinitely. Those looking for a timetable might find it instructive that Kings center Jeff Carter...

After loss to the Peguins, Bruins need for offense becomes clear

The Boston Bruins have a strong grip on the second spot in the North East division, leading Ottawa by 7 points and trailing Montreal by only 1. Other than a few missteps by the defense, there has not been much to critique. Tyler Seguin seems to have found his game having scored 4 times in the past 4 games. Tuukka Rask has answered any questions that may have remained about his ability...

SECOND LOOK: Daugavins' SO Attempt & Thornton's Choice Words

Shootouts are an NHL gimmick so if you're pissed at what Kaspar Daugavins did last night than, well, we don't know what to tell you. Here's his crazy move. It's a high risk, high reward maneuver. He nails it and Ottawa is singing songs of his grandeur. He fails and he looks like a giant chump who wasted a chance to win a game for his team. Thank god...

Ty Anderson: Weekend update: Rask, Caron, and could B's add a 'Cat?

It had been two years, nine months, and 23 days since Tuukka Rask last squared off with the Philadelphia Flyers. 1,030 days ago to be exact, but hey who was counting? Seemingly haunted by the second round collapsed that’s been the headline of his still young NHL career, there’s no doubt that speculation came with Rask’s perceived ‘hiding’ from the Flyers...

Bruins take down Senators in shootout

David Krejci scored the shootout winner and had an assist in regulation as the Boston Bruins defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Monday night. Tuuka Rask made 30 saves in regulation and stopped three of four Senators in the shootout, including a bizarre attempt from Kaspars Daugavins. The Ottawa forward carried the puck by pressing down with the tip of his stick before attempting...

RECAP: Chokely Carmichael. BRUINS LOSE.

As soon as the game was over the excuses poured in. Yes, we're sure the Bruins were tired after playing 65+ minutes the previous night. Yes, we're sure the Penguins relentless attack didn't help the Bruins energy reserves. But seriously. They scored their two goals and then just sat back and watched. You CAN'T do that against the Penguins. You just can'...

Bruins Collapse In Pittsburgh, Leave With 3-2 Loss

Last season, the Bruins were the best third-period team in the league, but this collapse was the latest example of why that’s no longer true. One day they’re resilient. The next they’re, well, the victims of a team who decided to be resilient. This was one of those collapses that you could just see coming from a mile away. Like I said after Monday night’s game in Ottawa...

Travis Yost: Boston Bests Ottawa in the Shootout

Make sure to follow Travis on Twitter! -- Game II in the five-game Boston-Ottawa series wasn't dissimilar to the first installment: the Bruins emerged victorious, but needed extra-time in order to best their divisional rival. Bruins-Senators Preview

Having rebounded from a brief lull, the Boston Bruins will try to add to their momentum by continuing their recent dominance over the injury-plagued Ottawa Senators. The Bruins seek a 10th straight victory in Ottawa and an 11th in 12 overall meetings Monday night while trying to end the Senators' five-game home win streak. Boston dropped back-to-back games for only the second...
