It has been a busy day for the St. Louis Blues, first the regular season schedule has been announced, and now they have agreed to a two-year deal with winger Chris Stewart.
Chris Stewart has announced through his Twitter account that he has signed with the Blues for two-more years.
Stewart was the leading scorer last year for St. Louis, scoring 18 goals in 48 games, along with 18 assists. Stewart has played 153 total games with St. Louis, scoring 48 goals.
The deal has been announced worth $8.3 million through two-years. $4.1 million through 2013-2014, and $4.2 million through 2014-2015, according to Jeremy Rutherford.
Stewart joined the Blues in 2011 from a trade with Colorado involving Erik Johnson, Jay McClement and a first round pick as the Blues also acquired Kevin Shattenkirk in the deal.
The Blues have $9.5 million left in cap space after this deal as they still have unsigned players; Alex Pietrangelo, Jake Allen, and newly acquired Magnus Paajarvi.
